What the general contractor service is

The general contractor is the party that takes on the construction of a facility as a whole: planning the sequence of work, coordinating subcontractors, making sure materials reach the site on time and answering to the client for the result. In practice this means the client deals with one party rather than a dozen separate crews.

CRM Construction LLC works in this format for both public and commercial clients.

The facilities we work on

Our license (EL-792/2022) covers industrial and civil facilities. The document sets out the following technical limits:

• facilities with spans of up to 24 m and above
• facilities with heights of up to 65 m and above
• facilities with a capacity of up to 5 thousand people and above

In practice these limits cover residential complexes, industrial and energy facilities, public buildings and infrastructure works.

How the work is organised

The sequence is similar on every facility: the site visit and clarification of the scope of work, preparatory and earthworks, erecting the structure, masonry and partition work, preparation for building services, cladding and facade work, and landscaping the grounds.

The specific sequence depends on the type of facility — the programme for a substation and for a multi-storey residential building cannot be the same.

Completed work on non-residential facilities

Below is documented, completed work. All the facilities are non-residential: industrial, energy, infrastructure and public buildings:

• Masonry, plastering and concrete work on a 4-storey building at the 110/35/10 kV substation project in Khankendi
• Concrete work, wall masonry, plastering and cladding in 5-storey buildings in Jabrayil
• Major construction of special representation camps in Jabrayil, Gubadly and Zangilan
• Major renovation of the district central hospital in Gabala
• Renovation work at a theatre in Baku
• Construction of a 320 m stone fence at an oil collection point in Baku
• Stone fences of 470 m and 270 m, asphalt concrete surfacing and a collector crossing in Zabrat, Baku
• Trenchless installation of a Ø530 mm steel casing pipe under a road in Baku

Documentation and acceptance

In contract work, delivery is documented with a Qaimə note and with Form 3 — the work acceptance certificate. This records the scope of work and the part accepted, for the client and the contractor alike.

Where we work

We work in every city, district and village of Azerbaijan. The facilities we have completed are located in 14 different cities and districts — from Baku to Khankendi, from Gabala to Jabrayil. This is not a general claim but a documented geography of work.
